What is "Inspring Discovery"?

"Teaching" is a word I've been struggling with.

If "Teaching" is to cause learning to take place, then I'm a little better with it. But teaching is often considered more active than passive. It applies speaking, delivering knowledge, coercing repetition, etc.

But "learning" (the ultimate objective of teaching, right? Right?) requires discovery to take place. That implies that the activity relies on the learner, not the teacher.

I'd like to think the role of someone wishing to cause learning to take place is someone who Inspires Discovery
